We all know Ben & Jerry’s, Etsy and Patagonia as companies, but what do these brands all have in common?

What they all share is a corporate mindset that profit should not come at the expense of having a positive social impact. They are all also Certified B Corporations. Today it is with great pride that on behalf of the entire team at TACK10 we formally announce that we are officially part of this movement of game changers using business as an instrument to have a positive social, environmental and economic impact in the communities in which we operate.

The path to seeking Certified B Corporation status started with a personal experience that led me to questioning what my own legacy would be, come the day I hung my hat in business for the final time. Over the coming months it boiled down to not wanting the end game for me to be a very profitable career without having had an even greater quantifiable positive impact socially. I wanted a formal way to ensure that as a business owner I was giving more than I was taking.

Enter Certified B Corporation status…

“B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today, there is a growing community of more than 2,100 Certified B Corps from 50 countries and over 130 industries working together toward 1 unifying goal: to redefine success in business.”

Manifesto

TACK10 is a Certified “B” Corporation and a for profit professional marketing services firm. We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive set of integrated partnership services that produce unparalleled, quantifiable results against corporate objectives. We work exclusively with purpose driven brands and properties who are committed to delivering a positive social, environmental and economic impact for the communities in which they operate.

People  l  Purpose  l  Profit

We believe that organizations should feel a responsibility to measure their success by these 3 P’s. Being socially responsible does not have to come at the expense of profit. When committed authentically to People and Purpose, organizations are proving that they can increase Profit, as People want to work for, support and buy from companies whose Purpose align with their own.

5% Pledge
Annually we will invest 5% of the previous year’s total revenue in providing complimentary services to organizations who themselves are having a positive social, environmental and economic impact in the communities in which they operate.

Big Hairy Audacious Goal
To have a direct and positive impact on the human experience for at least 20 million Canadians by 2025.

A life worth living must have purpose. Your purpose does not have to align with ours, but have one. Stand for something. Have an impact.
